Map of Grand Teton National Park

The Range
The Teton Range is located on the border of Idaho and Wyoming, smack dab in the middle of, you guessed it, Grand Teton National Park.

The Park
The park is accessible through three main entrance roads. The northernmost entrance is through Yellowstone National Park, and visitors can also enter from Wyoming through the east gate. Probably the most common entrance is via the south gate, which is eight miles outside of that oh-so-posh little city of Jackson Hole.

The Grand Teton
The Grand itself is located in the southwest corner of the park. It is about a thirty-minute drive from the south gate. If there are minimal buffalo barring your way, or you don’t get stuck behind that photo-happy 65-year-old in his Buick. It takes a bit longer from the other gates, but the park is generally pretty small - you should be able to get entirely though it in around an hour.

The Parking Lot
The trailhead to climb the grand begins at Lupine Meadows. To get there from Moose, travel north on the Teton Park Road until you reach the Lupine Meadows Trailhead.
