Prepare Ice

There are multiple ways to prepare your ice:
Put ice in blender and blend until the ice is consistently crushed and slushy.
Place ice in heavy-duty zip-lock bag and crush by hand with a mallet or rolling pin.
Electric or hand-crancked ice shavers are also available. They are worth the investment if you want a smoother, less granular texture.
