Buy art. Save the world.

These two things may seem unrelated but that is who and what we are. We hold art exhibits with donated art. Every piece in the exhibit is avialablefor purchase. The money received for the sold work is donated to a pre-determined charity.

Art Saving the World began as a mere idea when Miles Hicks, one of the co-founders, was working for the Boys and Girls Club in Logan, Utah and saw their need for more funding. He decided to hold a fundraiser and donate the proceeds to the Boys and Girls Club.

Being an artist Miles knew that an art exhibit was the way to go. He recruited some of his fellow artists to help organize the event. Tron Arnold and Chuck Sheya helped with the planning and were also willing to donate their work to the cause. The first exhibit was held in the Bluebird Cafe in Logan.

The second exhibit took a slightly different apporoach as Tron put it together as a service project for an English class. It was held at Utah State University on campus in the Sunburst Lounge of the Taggart Student Center. More artists were featured in the second exhibit thanks to better recruiting. The proceeds from this exhibit went to Camp Hobe.

We want to keep the donations going to local charities. We also hope to gain enough momentum that other organizations in need can call or come to us. We plan to hold the exhibits bi- or tri-monthly.
