Ya began to dance for her village upon her return, and immediately the villagers came to watch the beautiful, dancing crane. Everyone in the village was drawn to the crane for they knew that cranes were an omen of peace and prosperity. Word spread quickly about the beautiful, dancing crane, and people from other villages nearby quickly came to visit the small village to see her. Many visitors began to stay in the poor, remote village in the hopes of receiving good fortune from the presence of the crane. Soon the people of the small, remote village began to grow wealthy. Then one day the emperor’s brother heard the good news of the beautiful dancing crane in a faraway village and persuaded the emperor to come and see the beautiful, white crane.
